A Life In The Theatre News: Regular Season and Preseason Updates
Written by playwright David Mamet based on his backstage experiences as a young actor in his early career, A Life In The Theatre chronicles the relationship between two thespians, Robert and John. As Robert, a veteran actor mentors John, a promising young actor, the audience witnesses their ever-changing relationship as time goes by. Although Mamet received several productions of the play after he wrote it in the late 70s, including a successful premiere at Chicago's prestigious Goodman Theatre, the play did not receive a Broadway production until 2010. The revival, which featured actors Patrick Stewart as Robert and T.R Knight as John, ran from October to November 2010. As Mamet's play regains popularity after it's Broadway premiere, fans seek A Life In The Theatre tickets to get a first hand look at what being an actor might be like.
