Based on Ingmar Bergman's film Smiles Of A Summer Night, the Broadway revival of the Tony Award Winning musical, A Little Night Music starred award winning performers such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch. The production ran at the Walter Kerr Theatre from 2009 to 2010, and remains extremely popular among the regional theatre market. The plot, which takes place in a country house in Sweden, was written by legendary composer Stephen Sondheim with a book by Hugh Wheeler.
