Therefore, Thirteenth Step features a new sound for the group, more melodic, rhythmic and somewhat lighter, such as on the singles ‘Blue’ and ‘Weak and Powerless.’ Following positive reviews and a successful world tour, A Perfect Circle returned home to the U.S. to record their third album Emotive, a collection of mostly covers associated with peace, such as John Lennon’s ‘Imagine,’ Nick Lowe’s ‘Peace, Love and Understanding’ and Depeche Mode’s ‘People Are People.’ The album, which received mixed reviews, was immediately followed with the release of a CD-DVD set, Amotion, with music videos for several singles. That year, after playing their last concert in Denver, A Perfect Circle went on hiatus, the band members disbursing to work on other projects. Finally, in 2010, A Perfect Circle reunited and has launched a tour in the U.S. and Canada.
