Air Force Falcons Football Tickets - History
The Air Force football program began in 1955.The academy's best season came in 1985, when it finished 12-1 and won 10 straight games. A seven-point loss to BYU in its next to last game of the season cost Air Force a shot at the national championship game. Air Force has won three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) titles. In 1985 and in 1995, the Falcons were tied for the top spot in the conference, and in 1998 they won it outright. The Falcons also won the WAC Mountain Division in 1998. Air Force has won 17 Commander-in-Chief's Trophies. This is given to the season's winner of the series between Air Force, Navy and Army. Air Force most recently won the trophy in 2010. It also won the prize four years in a row from 1989 to 1992 and five consecutive seasons from 1997 to 2002.Air Force is 10-10-1 all-time in bowl games. The Falcons' last bowl win came in 2010 when they beat Georgia Tech, 14-7 in the Independence Bowl.
