Through a steady performing and recording career, Jarreau has enjoyed moments of massive success, such as with his 1981 album Breakin' Away with its hit title song and another radio hit, 'We're In This Love Together.' He scored again with his original song that became the theme for the hit television show Moonlighting. In concert, on stage, is where Jarreau shines, and his energy is palpable as he moves effortlessly from genre to genre, climbing to the heights of gospel, nailing impossible jazz licks, belting out soul and dipping in the Blues.
