Alesana Tickets - Band History

Alesana began in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2004, and signed to Tragic Hero Records in 2005. In 2006, the band released their first full-length titled On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, which made many who were into the screamo/eye-liner scene fall in love with the band. Later that year, the band left Tragic Hero and signed to Fearless Records, and in 2008, released their first Billboard-charting album Where Myth Fades to Legend (it peaked at number 11 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart). An interesting nugget of information is that most of the songs on the album were written about The Brothers Grimm themes and characters. In 2010, the band released their most successful album to date, The Emptiness, and in 2011, the band released A Place Where the Sun is Silent via premiere indie label Epitaph Records.
