This jukebox musical featuring legendary music by Elvis Presley is actually based on William Shakespeare's comedic classic, Twelfth Night. In the book, writer Joe DiPietro fuses together the classical story with rock n' roll through a tale of love, lust and magic. Premiering on Broadway at the Palace Theatre on March 2nd, 2005, All Shook Up was directed by Christopher Ashley, choreographed by Ken Roberson, and starred performers Cheyenne Jackson (Chad), Jenn Gambatese (Natalie Haller/'Ed'), and Jonathan Hadary (Jim Haller). Although the show closed on September of the same year, the show has been and continues to be performed nation-wide at regional theatres, colleges and high schools.
