Some of her first bits occurred on the Mike Douglas Show and the Merv Griffin Show. In addition, she got into the commercial game and then became known as an actress for the television soap opera Love Is a Many Splendored Thing, playing the role of Dr. Betsy Chernak Taylor during the years of 1970 to 1973. Everything started to explode for her, though, when she landed a nomination in 1977 for a Golden Globe on the category of New Star of the Year for the 1976 film The Front. Other credits to her name include Hill Street Blues, The Incredible Hulk, Magnum P.I., and Taxi. Broadway saw her plenty as well with an appearance in Ambassador, followed by some great roles in The Concorde ? Airport '79, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, followed by a tremendous part with Danny Devito in Jack the Bear. To make it better, she even released a CD of some her greatest hits (did we mention she sang well, too?) in 2009.
