Known for their irreverent sense of humor, Blink-182 was formed in Poway, California in 1992 when Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus decided they wanted to start a band. Originally called Duck Tape, and later Blink, they added drummer Travis Barker to replace their original drummer Scott Raynor midway through their tour to promote their second album, Dude Ranch in 1998.

While the band's first two albums achieved moderate success, their next album, 1997's Dude Ranch sold over one million copies. ?Blink-182 tickets sold well. The band enjoyed recognition due to their irreverent singles 'What's My Age Again' and 'All the Small Things', which reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The band went on hiatus in 2005, when DeLonge left to form Angels & Airwaves. Hoppus and Barker decided to form +44. The band reunited in February of 2009, and immediately began performing, starting with the 51st Grammy Awards, which saw Blink-182 take the stage for the first time since 2004. The band kicked off their reunion tour with Weezer and Fallout Boy. Blink-182 tickets once again sold out. Blink-182 has recieved numerous awards, including Teen Choice Awards, as well as MTV Video Music Awards. The band continues to receive award nominations.
