Even though the name suggests this is a bar for the intelligentsia, the real thing is, the way this bar was made is just smart. While most clubs will sometimes deny you before you get within ten feet of the entrance, this bar is for all. Along with its laissez faire attitude toward its occupants, Smart Bar has one of the city's best sound systems and state-of-the-art cooling systems. This is a great place to have some room to dance, drink, and party until you drop.
There's only one word that can describe Vision: huge. This world-class club has three beautifully designed room with the potential for three different kinds of music. (Obligatory Note: Gay) Berlin is the premiere gay club in Chicago. Even if you don't swing that way, this club is a way to get away from that typical club snobbery and just enjoy the night. With a wide open dance floor and a variety of music to actually dance to, Rolling Stones rated Berlin as the "Best Dance Club" in Chicago. If anything, Berlin is the place to meet men and women of all kinds while seriously strutting your stuff. Note: there's a different taste of music here so don't expect to be grinding to the top 40 hits. It's an exotic place to go with a mix of 80s, new wave, house, and drag queens.
The Mid is a hot little club frequently hosted by Lil Jon. When you're going out clubbing, the important factor isn't who used to hit up the club, but who's going to rip it up. There's three full service bars and a large dance floor to meet up with others. If you want to get cozy, there's plenty of booths to sit down and have a drink. Check out the lineup as they usually have a solid group of resident DJs. They also have an exhaustive list of guest DJs and EDM heavyweights.
