It's been 14 years since Jerry Seinfeld's eponymous show about nothing went off the air, but the NYC comedian is looking to take back Thursday nights. Seinfeld recently announced several new hometown stand-up dates, in which he'll perform a show in each of the five boroughs almost every Thursday evening from October 4th to October 8th.
This fresh round of acts marks the first time Seinfeld has performed anywhere in the city since '98, the year of Seinfeld's cancelation. Maybe plucking at fans' nostalgia heartstrings (the sitcom aired on Thursday nights) will generate the kind of success he enjoyed then: Seinfeld sold out Broadway's Broadhurst Theater shortly after his T.V. show came to an end.
