UPDATE
In a bit of rather sad news, Fiona Apple has announced she has cancelled her South American tour due to the death of her pet dog. The singer songwriter has been touring extensively in 2012 in support of her latest album "The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do," which was released back in June.
Shows that have been affected by the news include concerts in Sao Paulo (November 29) and Rio de Janeiro (November 30).

Indie star Fiona Apple has laid out plans for an extensive U.S. summer tour looking to hit every major stop between New York and California in 2012. The tour kicks off Jun. 19 at Ithica's State Theatre and will wrap up Jul. 29 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Apple's new album 'The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do' hits shelves Jun. 19th to coincide with the start of the tour.
