So maybe not everyone was stoked about the Metallica/Lou Reed album. Give them a break. They've been around for thirty years - you have to applaud them for trying something. The reason Metallica is successful is because they keep pushing the envelope.
Last night, Metallica released an EP of leftovers from their "Death Magnetic" sessions. The band also just recently wrapped up a four night stint to commemorate their diamond anniversary at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA. On the final night of the anniversary stint, Lars Ulrich told fans "to listen for news to come in mid-January 2012 about something very special coming in June."
Sounds like a summer album at the least and maybe a tour as well. Keep posted and check back here at SeatGeek, hit up our Twitter for some more goodness.
