Sir Paul McCartney, who turned 69 on June 18, 2011, recently announced his On the Run Tour dates. I suppose reissuing the McCartney and McCartney II albums, releasing a couple new LPs, and fighting for Ringo's knighthood doesn't keep Sir Paul busy enough.

With rumors of another show being planned in Winnipeg on August 23 and a hinted studio collaboration with the Gorrilaz, Sir Paul McCartney clearly is not slowing down because of his senior citizen status. Sir Paul McCartney's On the Run tour is said to feature "nearly three hours of of the world's most familiar and beloved music, with hits, deep cuts and surprises spanning McCartney's unrivalled catalogue of Beatles, Wings, solo and Fireman classics," according to Paul McCartney's MySpace.

Sir Paul McCartney's On the Run Tour is certainly a testament that the 69 year-old has the blood of a true rockstar. Although his manager advised him to retire at age 50, Paul isn't slowing down any time soon. Paul also recently implied that a collaborative effort with Ringo is not probable.
