Canadian musician and one of the founding members of the New Pornographers, A.C. Newman, has announced a fall tour. The tour will coincide with the release of his latest album, currently unnamed, also set for launch in the upcoming season. The tour begins on October 21 in Toronto, then makes its way down the East coast, hitting up venues in major cities like New York, Philly, D.C. and Atlanta. After a quick gig in the midwest at Chicago's "The Empty Bottle" theater, Newman makes another pitstop in Canada on November 8, and then sweeps the West coast for the remainder of the tour with shows in Seattle, Portland and California.

Newman has achieved success in both his group and solo musical efforts. Before his work as the frontman in the New Pornographers, Newman was a member of '90s rock groups Superconductor and Zumpano. In 2004 he launched his solo career, and has since released two albums - The Slow Wonder and Get Guilty - both of which have been met with critical success.
