A Wilhelm Scream Tour
Hardcore fans, unite, because you’re in for a real treat. Rocking Massachusetts group A Wilhelm Scream have just announced plans for a new, full-length LP, to be titled Partycrasher. Dropping on November 5 via No Idea Records, this is the band’s first album since 2007’s Career Suicide and their sixth overall. And guess what? They’re going on a North American tour to promote their new project. The shows kick off on October 30 in Tampa, FL, and continue through New York City, Asbury Park, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Toronto, ON, and Quebec City to name a few, with a final show in Pawtucket, RI, to end the leg. Tickets are on sale now.
So how did A Wilhelm Scream (also known as AWS, Wilhelm, or the Scream) get their interesting name? It's a reference to a famous stock sound effect, mainly used in major motion pictures. The band's sound has been called melodic hardcore, punk rock, and skate punk (whatever that means), and resemble bands like Strung Out, Hot Water Music, Propagandhi and Strike Anyway. Get your Chucks ready, kids.
