Academy Award winning actress and performing legend Barbra Streisand has officially announced she will return to the stage this fall for a concert in her hometown Brooklyn, New York. The show will take place at the newly built Barclays Center Oct. 11, 2012 and tickets will be available for presale Saturday May 12. The home of the newly minted Brooklyn Nets will also feature a performance by co-owner and grammy winner Jay Z just a few days prior on Sept. 28.

It's been announced that Barbra Streisand will headline at least one performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on October 11. There is speculation that this could be just the first announced show of an upcoming tour, but as of yet no other tour dates have been announced. Babs has not toured on a large scale since 2006 so we wouldn't be surprised to see more 2012 tour dates added soon.
