UPDATE: Tortuga Music Festival
Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite are headed for some fun in the sun in Ft. Lauderdale come April. Announced today, the duo, who have teamed up for the critically acclaimed new album Get Up!, will be part of the lineup for Rock the Ocean's Tortuga Music Festival, set to take place on April 13 and April 14 on the beach in sunny Florida.
UPDATE: New Tour Dates
Ben Harper has added a string of new tour dates in support for his latest album Get Up! Called an Evening of the Blues with Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, the shows see Harper teaming up with Musselwhite and playing tunes from their critically acclaimed new album, which was released back on January 29.
The dates announced take place on the East Coast as follows: May 2 in Washington, DC at the 9:30 Club; May 3 in New York City at the Beacon Theatre and May 4 in Boston at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets for all three shows are on sale now and the best deals can be found right here at SeatGeek.

Ben Harper is gearing up for what appears to be a busy 2013. With a new album entitled Get Up! coming out on January 29, Harper has revealed a few new tour dates in the coming months, potentially featuring both new music and tunes from his extensive back catalog.

The new album features Charlie Musselwhite, who will also be alongside Harper on the four new tour dates recently announced. Musselwhite is known for being one of the more famous white bluesmen that came up in the 1960s, and is known especially for his skills on the harmonica. He is said to have influenced Dan Akroyd's character Elwood in the classic comedic film, The Blues Brothers.

The tour dates announced are as follows: January 29 in New York City at Irving Plaza; March 1 in Toronto at Danforth Music Hall; March 2 in Royal Oak, MI, at Royal Oak Music Theatre; and March 3 in Chicago at Riviera Theatre.
