English-born Ben Howard has announced a small string of Australian shows slated for April of next year. The three-date run will take place during the time he's in the country for Byron Bay Bluesfest, which takes place over March 28 - April 1. The other shows begin on April 3, kicking off with a show at The Metro in Sydney. After that, Howard will perform at The Hi-Fi in Brisbane on the 5th, and then at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne on the 6th. It has been confirmed that there'll be "special guests" joining the singer on tour, but no names have been announced yet.
While Ben Howard has been recording and releasing his own material since 2009, it wasn't until he signed with Island Records did he create a huge splash in the music industry. The release of 2011's Every Kingdom (the singer's debut LP) saw sales in the 100 thousands in the UK, eventually being certified gold and peaking at No. 6 on the UK album chart. His follow-up EP, The Burgh Island, came out earlier this year as a digital download, and features the normally acoustic artist going electric.
