Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath unveiled the initial details of their reunion tour in 2012, which will see the original band members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward perform a series of festivals and European arena dates to kick things off in May and June 2012.

The rock legends are also in the studio with producer Rick Rubin working on an album of new material for release in late 2012. The tracks will be the band's first album in 33 years since Never Say Die! was released in 1978, right before Osbourne had initially left the band.

The European dates will see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band and MTV's "Greatest Metal Band of All Time" perform at the Download Festival in England on June 10. At first, this was the only date listed when the band made the initial announcement of the new tour and album last week. Other dates just revealed include shows in Moscow, St, Petersburg, Helsinki, and Stockholm in addition to festival dates in Norway, Spain, France, Belgium and Italy.
