Carlos Santana Tour 2013
Although he's been performing for nearly 50 years, Carlos Santana is showing no signs of slowing down. The musician has just announced a chunk of dates with his Santana Band at the House of Blues Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. He's calling the event, "An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" (wow, that was a mouthful), and it runs from January 19 to June 2. Besides their residency in the City of Sin, Carlos Santana and The Santana Band are perfuming overseas throughout March, with shows in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia, including a stop at the Byron Bay Bluesfest. On February 26, the band will make their way to Honolulu, HI, for a show at the Blaisdell Arena, followed by a performance in Kahului at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The band will hit the festival circuit in Australia during the last week of their tour, and those living in Fremantle, AU., can catch them at the West Coast Blues & Roots Festival on March 24. Santana has also confirmed that this year he'll begin work on his next album, a follow-up to 2012's influential Shape Shifter.
