Coheed and Cambria will head out on tour in 2013.

Kings of the concept album, Coheed and Cambria, have announced a 2013 headlining tour in support of their February album release, The Afterman: Descension. This is not to be confused with the band's 2012 tour dates, which are in support of their new album, The Afterman: Ascension, released a month ago. The 2013 tour, which will include openers Between the Buried and Me and Russian Circles, takes place over February and March. It kicks off on February 4, with the first of two gigs at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club. The extensive tour will see the rockers in major cities throughout the United States, with the finale on March 16, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Coheed and Cambria have been recording music together since 1995. They're known for their concept albums that tell a science fiction story called "The Amory Wars," which was written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The musicians, specifically Sanchez, are also known for their extensive vocal ranges and falsetto style of singing. Their latest album received critical acclaim, garnering four out of five stars from Kerrang! magazine.
