Last year marked the debut of Desert Uprising, the biggest music festival that Pheonix, AZ, has ever seen. Brought to life by Rockstar Energy Drink and 98KUPD (Arizona's "real rock" radio station), the two-day affair brought the likes of Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, Stone Sour, and Papa Roach to the stage – sounds like a seventh-grade goth kid's dream! Held at the Ashley Furniture Homestore Pavilion, last year attendees were able to enjoy music (at multiple stages) and a full Carnival Midway with rides.
With all these bands and all this fun, one might be shocked to know that tickets for the event ranged from just $30 - $98! The $30 tickets guaranteed folks upper-section seating plus lawn access (for a one-day pass). The $98 tickets guaranteed a spot in the general admission pit right in front of the stage, aka guaranteeing that one would be dodging kicks in the head from crowdsurfers all weekend. Which is actually pretty fun if you're into that sort of thing. While no lineup has been announced yet for this year, and no concrete dates have been provided, our friends over at FestHeads.com have projected tentative dates of September 27-28. Check back to SeatGeek to get your tickets as soon as they go on sale!
