UPDATE 9/24/2012
As we speculated earlier this summer, Ed Sheeran has officially added US dates to his 2013 tour! The new round of concerts will take place several months before the budding heartbreaker heads to Australia for his previously announced February and March performances. Sheeran will kick things off with a live show in Houston January 17, saving his final act for a Valentine's Day special in Tuscon, AZ. If the New Year is still too far away for you, however, you're in luck: turns out Ed's got a few 2012 dates lined up before then. Although Ed Sheeran has yet to finish the Australian leg of his 2012 tour, he already can't wait to go back. The Brit heartthrob has announced a series of 2013 Australian tour dates, six concerts that will begin in Perth February 23rd and wind down in Melbourne March 5th.
The singer's announcement arrives just as his latest single, "Drunk," hit no. 37 on the ARIA charts today. While the 21-year-old is an established star overseas, he's been working to crack the American market. What progress he's made has been thanks, in no small part, to friends with some definite multicultural appeal: One Direction, who enlisted Sheeran's help on the track, "Moments."
Tickets aren't yet available for Ed Sheeran's 2013 Aussie dates, but be sure to check back when more info is made available – including U.S. and other international 2013 tour dates.
