Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (partnered with Live Nation) are introducing a whole new festival experience! The Big Top Festival will take place October 17-20 at Los Angeles State Historic Park, complete with a traditional Big Top (I mean duh, right?), farmer's market, and beer gardens. Performances by musicians (including Edward Sharpe, obviously), vaudeville acts, contortionists, acrobats, performance artists, and puppeteers will be on the docket, as well as films and visual art installation pieces chosen by the band. This isn't just a music festival: this is a lifestyle festival. A matinee show will be played on the last day for families, assuring that kids of all ages can get in on the festival action.
Seating in the "Big Top" tent will feature 360-degree tiered seating, allowing for a more intimate audience experience. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros said that the idea of the festival was to better connect with the audience in an interactive environment, and we think they're on the right track. Tickets for the Big Top Festival go on sale August 9. Visit edwardsharpebigtop.com for more information on lineup announcements, tickets, and more.
