For those not familiar with the "Gigantour," this is all you need to know:
Riffs, hair, leather, hardcore drums, and a whole lot of jagged, ripped vocals!
In other words: heavy metal. A mega-concert of mammoth proportions. That's the essence of Gigantour 2012. And Montreal, Canada's, hosting the event.
Now to give you an idea on just what to expect in this hardcore metal masterpiece, here are some of the featured bands: Megadeth, Volbeat, Lacuna Coil, and Motorhead, just to name a few. You can't get more heavy metal than that. It just so happens that these bands will be making a visit to the Bell Centre this coming February 3.
This, also, isn't simply a celebration of good ol' fashioned rock 'n' roll.
One of the headliners of Gigantour 2012, Megadeth, will actually have a new album to promote, TH1RT3EN. Only just released, this LP will feature the return of bass guitarist Dave Ellefson back into the band after being gone since 2002. And to really know how momentous this really is: he was the bass guitarist for the band since 1983!
And if you like some of that savage sound of the theme for the "Game" Mr. Triple H, one of the King of Kings of World Wrestling Entertainment, you'd like Motorhead. There's no doubt that such a band belongs in this stellar concert of ages celebrating a genre that has thrilled many since the days of Classical music.
