Jimi Hendrix, the late rock legend who was recently named by Rolling Stone as the greatest guitarist of all time, will have his music brought to life again through a tribute tour featuring both his peers and those from the modern era who consider him a musical influence.
Experience Hendrix will visit 20 markets throughout March in 2012 and will see artists such as Aerosmith's Brad Whitford, The Doors' Robby Krieger, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Buddy Guy, and Billy Cox, the former friend and bandmate of Hendrix and the only living member from The Jimi Hendrix Experience, perform music from the career of the artist who created classic guitar solos such as those of "Purple Haze," his version of the "Star Spangled Banner," "Machine Gun," "Little Wing," "Voodoo Child," and "All Along the Watchtower."
