Brooklyn-based trio Hospitality is set to release their new album on January 28, and they’re going on tour to support their ‘70s-sounding grooves and their first single, “I Miss Your Bones.” They’ll be a part of the festival circuit with a gig at the 2014 Ecstatic Music Festival, playing January 31 at The Greene Space with Face the Music. From there they’ll hit cities like Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Austin, TX; and Atlanta, GA, before coming back to Brooklyn on March 1 for a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for these shows are on sale now.
Hospitality - consisting of Amber Papini, Brian Betancouty and Nathan Michel - is fairly new, but that doesn’t stop them from a hive of music buzz. The band released a self-titled EP in 2008, only to go on hiatus to deal with various issues and side projects. They signed to Merge Records in 2011 and released their eponymous debut in January 2012. The album garnered many great reviews from industry publications, with a place at No. 32 on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Albums of 2012.
