iHeart Radio 2012 Recap
This year's iHeartRadio Festival came to an end this past weekend with some of music's hottest acts churning out their chart-topping hits. There was the triumphant return of No Doubt, the crowd-pleasing set by Jason Aldean, and a peek at several pop divas (Rihanna and Pink) before they head out on 2013 global tours.
There was also a minor hiccup that's been garnering major attention: the meltdown by
Green-Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. After freaking out about allegedly being prompted to end his set, Billie Joe unleashed a verbal tirade fraught with a string of four-lettered words, which turned out to be a serious look at a man fighting his demons. Earlier today the band announced their lead singer and the festival's leading news item is seeking help for substance abuse. The rest of the Green-Day gang also apologized to offended fans, and for the postponement of several upcoming shows.
iHeartRadio 2013 Rumors
While Green Day regroups, 
fans of the iHeartRadio festival are already looking ahead to those groups headlining next year's gig. You may think it's too early to speculate, but lo and behold, one name has already risen to the top of the conjectural cream. Miley Cyrus, the newly affianced and boldy shorn popstar/actress, is gearing up to release her first album in two years. According to an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, one of this year's iHeart Radio presenters is making moves to release a single in November, which must mean the album – and accompanying promotional tour? – is not too far off. If in fact the future Mrs. Hemsworth helms a 2013 concert series, a stop at iHeart Radio may be on the docket.

How hot are these tickets?! This year's version of the iHeart Radio Festival broke last year's record as tickets sold out in the first eight minutes that they went on sale. Last year's festival sold out in ten minutes. Given the heavy hitters that are on the bill this year - Rihanna, Shakira, Usher, Miranda Lambert, Green Day, Swedish House Mafia, Jason Aldean, Lil Wayne, No Doubt, Aerosmith, Calvin Harris, Mary J. Blige, Pitbull, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Brad Paisley, Pink, Deadmau5, Linkin Park, and Taylor Swift - this makes complete sense.

iHeartRadio Music Festival 2012
Last year's iHeartRadio concert had some of the most expensive festival tickets of the year, and 2012 is likely to be no different. Once again, iHeartRadio will likely be one of the most popular concerts of the summer. This year's festival will be held on September 21st and 22nd, and will once again be in the storied MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
