Embarking on their first ever symphony tour, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, collectively known as the Indigo Girls, are taking their catalog of music to a new dimension with a backing of local symphony orchestras in six cities. The cities pegged for the tour are Chattanooga, Dallas, Seattle, Birmingham, Buffalo and Portland.
The dates for the shows are scattered throughout the back end of 2012, from July through November. The duo is currently also on tour for the first time with a full backing band throughout the summer.
