In a show of reverence for his country roots, Jamey Johnson will perform his homage to the late songwriter Hank Cochran this winter. Johnson's latest album, Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran, dropped last week, featuring his own as well as other stars' renditions of Cochran's most beloved hits. Lucky states soon to hear Johnson extol the virtues of his hero in verse include Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada. The brief tour is scheduled for an 11-show run, kicking off in Knoxville on November 8 and wrapping up in Montgomery, AL, on New Year's Eve.

Though the album itself is full of big-name cameos and self-proclaimed Cochran fans, so far only Chris Hennessee and Wayne Mills have signed on to join Jamey on the road. Whether or not the likes of Living guest vocalists Lee Ann Womack, Elvis Costello, and the cowboy-who's-riding-away-from-touring George Strait will make an appearance, hasn't been confirmed – but we'd be willing to bet on a surprise duet or two (we're still smarting over having missed this one).
