The youngest, only female, and among the most fascinating artists to have made Rolling Stone Magazine'slist of The New Guitar Gods, Kaki King has made plans for an international tour. Lucky thing for her many fans, King isn't waiting until summer (like everyone else...) to get things going – her first set of shows is slated for this weekend, in Osaka, Japan. The months of March and most of April, as well as May, will see the muli-talented musician/composer performing abroad in Singapore, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Turkey. US devotees will finally get their chance to pay homage to the rock goddess on April 25, when King's scheduled to play two shows at NYC'sMercury Lounge.
Kaki's double-duty date at the Manhattan venue includes both an early and a late show. As of now, King intends to play the whole of her album Glow (her most recent, released back in 2012) solo during her first performance, while concert number two will feature a full band. Tickets for both shows will be made available tomorrow, March 8. In the meantime, we've got a bunch of discount ticket links to her performances in other, more exotic locales, as well as an awesome clip of her performing live on "The Late Show With David Letterman," to get you pumped for what lies ahead, below:
