Kings of German industrial, KMFDM, will embark on a spring tour in support of their 18th studio album. The shows take place over the course of March, beginning on the 8th with a gig at the Star Theater in Portland, OR. After that, they'll make their way through California, with performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Ana. Also on the docket are stops in Philadelphia, Boston and New York City. The tour wraps up on March 30, in Seattle, WA, with a performance at the Showbox SoDo.
KMFDM – which translates to "no pity for the majority" – have been around for nearly 30 years, and was founded by multi-instrumentalist Sascha Konietzko as a performance art project. The band is credited with being one of the first to bring industrial music to mainstream audiences, and have worldwide record sales of more than two million. Their latest album, Kunst, is due out on February 26, and features a track titled "Pussy Riot," likely as an act of solidarity toward the imprisoned rockers.
