Kool A.D. has announced a summer tour which will take place throughout most of August. The tour kicks off on July 30 at the Mercury Lounge in New York City, and will hit up major cities across the United States including Detroit, Chicago and Portland. It wraps up in Oakland, CA, on August 23 at The New Parish. Rapper Fat Tony will accompany Kool A.D. for the duration of the tour.
You may know Kool A.D. as one half of the Queens-based hip-hop group Das Racist. Kool - whose actual name is Victor Vazquez - started the group with a friend from college (Himanshu Suri) in 2008. The group has garnered lots of critical praise for their unique voice and sense of humor, and their 2010 mix tape releases (Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man) received accolades from SPIN and Rolling Stone.
