Australia's finest, Melissa "Missy" Higgins, has announced an Australian tour in support of her most recent album. The album, titled The Ol' Razzle Dazzle, is Higgins' third release, and first release since 2007's On a Clear Night. The tour will take place through November and part of December, and begins on November 17 at Soundscape venue in Hobart. The shows continue throughout the "land down unda'" and Higgins will make the rounds in Sydney, Wollongong and South Bank, finally wrapping up on December 8 in Fremantle at the Fremantle Arts Centre.
Not only does Higgins act as a triple threat: singer/songwriter, musician and, most recently, actress, but she's also involved in social and political issues. Higgins has worked as an advocate for animal rights, the environment and mental health. The 28-year-old songstress has also earned herself seven ARIA awards, and an MTV Australia Music Award for Best Breakthrough Artist in 2005.
