After the Pixies disbanded and Kurt Cobain… well, you know, Mudhoney was left still standing. The four-piece '90s grunge-rock outfit gained popularity during the height of the Seattle music explosion, and they're still at it 14 years later. Their ninth studio album Vanishing Point drops on April 2 via Sub Pop Records, and they've just announced an extensive world tour to coincide with the new tunes.
The first leg of the tour sees the band in the same part of the country that helped launch their career, with the kickoff show happening in Portland, OR, at the Doug Fir Lounge on March 29. After that, they'll head off to Seattle for a gig at Neumo's Crystal Ball Reading Room where they're sure to kick up some nostalgia for fans and friends alike. May 11 & 12 marks their East Coast debut, and you can catch them at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in NYC before they make their way overseas for a European adventure. The tour wraps up with a string of UK gigs, including a final performance on June 10 at the HMV Institute in Birmingham, UK. Check out their latest single, "The Only Son of the Widow From Nain," below.
