Neil Young at Carnegie Hall
A legend begets a legend: rock star Neil Young has just announced plans to play a four-night stand at New York City's historic Carnegie Hall this winter. On January 6, 7, 9 and 10, Young will play the greatest hits of his career, as well as (we hope) a few newer tunes. While Young's touring schedule is not as rigorous as it used to be, folks may have seen him last month when he reunited with CSNY at the Bridge School Benefit. Carnegie Hall + Neil Young = history in the making, and is guaranteed to sell out quickly, so you'd better get tickets ASAP. A presale began on Friday, and the public on-sale begins Monday, November 4 at 11:00am ET. Of course, SeatGeek will have secondary listings long after the on-sales have ended.
The work of Neil Percival Young (yep, that's his middle name) is characterized by his distinctive guitar work, very personal lyrics, and that alto/high tenor singing voice of his. Young commonly accompanies himself on a variety of instruments, from guitar to piano to harmonica. He's been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, in 1995 as a solo artist, and again in 1997 as a member of Buffalo Springfield. Young's latest album is 2012's Psychedelic Pill.
