The Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group will be heading out on tour this fall.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group (say that five times fast) has announced an extensive fall tour, which includes a European and a U.S. leg. The European leg kicks off on August 30 in Belgium and wraps up on October 30 in London. The U.S. leg begins on October 19 in Seattle, WA, at the City Arts Fest, and finishes on November 1 at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX. Also appearing at Fun Fun Fun Fest is Run DMC, Santigold, A$AP Rocky, Girl Talk and Minus the Bear, to name a few.

ORLG 2012 Tour, Tickets

You may recognize Lopez from his other band, The Mars Volta, in which he plays guitar and does production work. Lopez started ORLG in 2005 as his primary side project, recruiting three other members of The Mars Volta to join him. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has also achieved success with his band At the Drive-In, and has gone on to collaborate with John Frusciante, Erykah Badu and RZA, as well as many others. In 2009 Lopez received a Grammy award with The Mars Volta, and has also been listed on Rolling Stone's "Greatest Guitarists of All Time."
