When Big Boi posted this picture on Instagram last month, it made Outkast fans happy. When rumors began swirling that he and Andre 3000 would reunite for a Coachella performance, Outkast fans were really happy. And when, just yesterday, the duo confirmed that not only would they be performing at Coachella, but at Governor's Ball and 38 other worldwide festivals throughout the year, well, we were ecstatic. The band has cited that the reason behind the reunion is to mark their 20 year anniversary - which is traced back to the April '94 release of Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.
"It's truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose," Big Boi said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans, stank you smelly much. This is for y'all!" While no other festy dates for the band have been confirmed yet, lineup announcements are beginning to roll in. Our predictions for the Outkast 2014 tour? Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading & Leeds, and Primavera sound, plus the already confirmed Coachella and Gov Ball. That leaves 32 more -- the possibilities are endless.
