Rufus Wainwright Tour
Despite the self-deprecating title of his latest album, Rufus Wainwright hasn't been Out of the Game for very long. The prolific singer/songwriter/Elton-John-anointed "greatest living artist" recently released his seventh studio album, his fifth in the same number of years. With a tour schedule that, for a lesser performer, could be considered punishing, this self-proclaimed "Prima Donna" seems to relish spanning geographic and vocal ranges with equal ease. Apparently, not even a hubby and new baby girl at home could slow Wainwright's creative momentum – to which (to quote many a Rufus fan and the song that helped put him, alongside sister Martha Wainwright, on the modern vocalist map) we can only say: Hallelujah.
