Atlanta's finest alt-metal rockers, Sevendust, have announced the release of a new album, as well as corresponding tour dates. The tour, which will feature Lacuna Coil as support, kicks off on February 2, at Ziggy's in North Carolina. It will see the band throughout the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West, including a Valentine's Day gig at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Minnesota. The fun wraps up on February 23, with a show at Pepsi Pavilion in Cedar Rapids, IA. More dates will be released soon.

While this tour will be in support of the upcoming Sevendust record, the album isn't going to be released until March 26 of next year. This is the group's ninth LP since their formation in 1994, and the working title is Black Out The Sun. Sevendust's guitarist has described the new music as having "a darker vibe... but there's still plenty of melody. Lots of heavy stuff and some more mellow moody songs as well."
