She & Him are heading out on tour in 2013.

She & Him Tour

She & Him – that adorable indie-pop duo comprised of Zoey Deschanel and M. Ward – have announced plans for a new album and a new tour. The summer tour kicks off on June 13 in Nashville, TN, at the Ryman Auditorium, and will see the twosome throughout the South and West Coast. On July 3, the band will perform at the Montreal Jazz Festival in Quebec, followed by a stint at the Toronto Urban Roots Festival in Ontario. The fun comes to an end on July 11, with a gig in Vienna, VA, at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap. Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, and Camera Obscura will act as support for varying dates, which seems kind of crazy, because She & Him should be opening for Emmylou (in my humble opinion)!

The new She & Him album is predictably titled Volume 3, and it will be released on May 7 in the U.S. through Merge Records. It'll feature 11 original songs and three covers, plus several contributions from other artists, including Rilo Kiley's bassist, Pierre de Reeder. Check below to watch the video for "In the Sun."
