Slayer has updated their tour dates to include seven stops in Canada and a new show in Seattle. Check below for a full list of shows.
After a summer of killing it (get it? Slayer?) through Europe, South America, Mexico, and a slew of major festivals, thrash metal gods Slayer are set to headline their first North American tour in two years, playing throughout the United States and Canada. The tour kicks off on October 22 in Anchorage, Alaska (where the band hasn't played since 1996) and will move through Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Houston, TX; Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; and Camden, NJ; with a final show in Boston, MA, on November 30. Highlights of the tour include shows at the Hollywood Palladium and The Theater at Madison Square Garden (in LA and NYC, respectively): venues Slayer hasn't played in over 25 years. Tickets for all of the confirmed dates go on sale Friday, September 6. Visit the band's website (slayer.net) for complete on-sale dates and ticketing information.
Formed in 1981 by Kerry King and the late Jeff Hanneman, Slayer gained commercial acclaim with Reign in Blood, released in 1986. They're thought to have sold over 20 million records worldwide (thought because they've never released the data publicly), with 3.5 million records sold in the United States alone between 1991 and 2004. Slayer has also won two Grammy Awards out of five nods (Best Metal Performance in 2007 for "Eyes of the Insane" and in 2008 in the same category for "Final Six.")
