Together now over 30 years, one-time alt-rock chart toppers Soul Asylum have announced a fall 2013 tour that teams then up with fellow favorites from the 90s Fountains of Wayne and The Lemonheads. While Soul Asylum concerts haven't been on the same scale as they were in the mid-90s (with hits like "Runaway Train" and platinum albums such as Grave Dancers Union or Let Your Dim Light Shine), this conglomerate of period hits from the three groups is sure to lure plenty of long-time fans.
While Soul Asylum hasn't released a full length album since last year's Delayed Reaction, they have started a four-part series of three-song EPs which will include covers from their favorite and most influential bands. The first of these was released in July and titled no fun intended. Fans checking out one of the Soul Asylum tour dates will be assured of hearing setlists from the vast portfolios of these three bands and, with the advent of this covers series, a highly-anticipated dash of new covers.
