Darren Williams, aka Star Slinger, has announced a new EP and corresponding UK and US tour dates. The Manchester-based producer and DJ will perform in London at KOKO with Angel Haze, Bobby Tank and Monki on October 13. He'll also perform at the Electric Brixton in London on October 19 with Little Dragon. On December 5, Star Slinger will head to the United States for a show in Brooklyn, NY at the Glasslands Gallery with Bondax. His new EP, Ladies in the Back, is slated for release on November 26 through his own record label, Jet Jam. He's expected to release a follow-up full-length album sometime next year.

Star Slinger began rising to fame in 2010 after self-releasing his Volume 1 mix tape. Magazines like Pitchfork and SPIN took notice, as well as NME, which listed Star Slinger as one of the Top 50 Bands of 2011. He's appeared on BBC Radio 1 and Australia's Triple J radio station. His 2011 single, "Dumbin," was named "Single of the Week" by BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac. If you're lucky enough to live in the UK or the BK, be sure to check this guy out.
