Though it may seem a little early, jamtronica band STS9 have just announced the details of their annual New Year's Eve run, and they're set to return to The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA: a venue that they have the honor of playing more than any other artist... ever. The band will jam through five shows from December 27 to December 31. It's not too soon to figure out where you'll ring in 2014, so pick up your tickets: they're available beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, September 12, via the STS9 store. How much will it cost you? Early bird five-night passes are $150 (they move up to $200 after the early bird are sold out), and single night tickets are $37.50 for December 27 through 30 and $75 on New Year's Eve.
So what does STS9 stand for (if you're not a fan, you're forgiven): Sound Tribe Sector 9, of course. They're a fully-instrumental band with roots in electronic, funk, jazz, drum and bass, hip-hop, and more. The band has released 11 albums, two remix albums, and two live DVDs; they also boast a heavy presence in the festival circuit.
