With a big 2012 behind them supporting both The Black Keys and The Killers on tour, Tegan and Sara are looking toward 2013 for a headlining tour of North America throughout January, February, March and April. The dates as they stand right now are a bit sporadic, so this may mean that more dates are on the horizon.
The first show is on January 25 in Richmond at The National with other dates in cities that include New York, Los Angeles, Winnipeg, Calgary, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Tucson. PREVIOUS TOUR NEWS
Musicians. Twins. Canadians. Could Tegan and Sara be any cooler? Actually – they could. Not only are the indie twosome touring as the supporting act for The Black Keys this fall, but they just announced a string of headlining dates which will take place in September. The tour begins on September 23 in Vancouver and then heads down the West Coast, hitting up venues in Seattle, Idaho and Oregon before wrapping up on September 29 in Mountain View, CA, at the Harmony by the Bay Festival. On October 1 the ladies will meet up with The Black Keys and will play shows throughout California, eventually making their way to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The final show is on October 14 in Mexico at the Corona Capital Festival.
Tegan and Sara began playing music at 15, eventually recording two demo albums using their high school's studio equipment. In 1998 they graduated high school and began touring, eventually opening up for Neil Young. The band has released six full-length albums, and recently announced the completion of their seventh. Their onstage banter and candid conversations have become a staple of their live shows, so if you're lucky enough to live on the West Coast, don't miss your chance to see them!
