Everybody's favorite bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters, have announced a 2013 ski tour. What's a ski tour, you ask? Why, it's performances designated to the best ski towns the Rocky Mountains has to offer! Think Colorado, Utah, Vail, Jackson, and Wyoming. These dates are in addition to the current East Coast/South/Mid-Atlantic tour the boys have planned for the end of December. But first things first: The ski tour kicks off on February 13, in Durango, CO, and wraps up on February 23, at the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackon, WY. The 2012 shows get underway on December 12, with a performance at the Strings & Sol Festival, and wraps up on January 12, with a show in Athens, GA, at the Georgia Theatre. That's a whole lotta' banjo plucking!

The Infamous Stringdusters are a fresh sound in the bluegrass genre. Having recently moved from Nashville to Charlottesville, they are expanding their fan base everywhere they go. The five-piece band is often credited as being one of the bands to help bridge the gap between mainstream music and the bluegrass genre, along with artists like Yonder Mountain String Band and Railroad Earth. Since their formation in 2007, they've released five full-length albums. The latest, Silver Sky, charted at No. 10 on the US Bluegrass chart.
