A TV star in his native Canada at the age of 15. A certified platinum artist by 25. A guy people listen to enough to popularize the use of "YOLO." There's no doubt that Aubrey Drake Graham - you probably know him just by his middle name - has risen to terrific heights as a hip-hop performer, producer, and songwriter. What some people may be wondering, though, when they hear his latest and most popular song on iTunes, "Started from the Bottom," is when exactly did Drake have the time to look around and realize he was on the bottom?
Drake's Young Money crew is showing up everywhere, his friendship and collaborations with Lil Wayne helped both of their statuses soar, and he's amassed 12 number ones on Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. In a rather brief mainstream career since releasing his EP So Far Gone, the best Drake songs ever have catapulted his album sales north of five million, and those numbers don't count the prolific mixtapes that built his early momentum and popularity. Drake's third full studio album is just now on the way, and who knows what - if any - limits are at the top of Drake's career on the heels of his first two: Thank Me Later and Take Care. We'll see how the list of top 10 Drake songs changes in the next couple of years after Nothing was the Same hits the streets and Drake goes on tour to support his new record.
