Hello everyone, welcome to this week's edition of '
MLB ticket Price Rankings'. After winning 7 of their last 8 games,
Twins ticket prices have been the hottest on the market in the past week at an average price of $81.13.
As you can see from the chart above, Twins prices have risen steadily throughout the season. The Twins rise to the top this week is attributable to the sharp decline of
Yankees ticket prices - the prior week #1 - from $89.93 to $68.66. I suspect this decline is due to fact they were on the road last week and their next homestand is against the Detroit Tigers.
Rounding out the top 5 were:
- Toronto Blue Jays
- Boston Red Sox
- New York Yankees
- St. Louis Cardinals
In last week's report, we called out how the Red Sox took a rare trip out of the top 5. Well they are back this week at #3 after tying for the largest week-over-week rise (3 positions) with the Blue Jays. On the other side of things, the Rangers had the largest decrease, of 4 positions, as they dropped to 7th in overall rankings.

The chart aboves shows the largest shift in rank among the teams in this week's top 10. For example, the Red Sox moved from 6th to 3rd and thus are a +3. Now that we have looked at the teams with the highest ticket prices, let's take a quick look at the teams that are struggling to drive fan demand.
Bottom 10 Average Ticket Prices in MLB (over the last 7 days)
The bottom 5 are:
- Cleveland Indians
- Florida Marlins
- Pittsburgh Pirates
- Milwaukee Brewers
- Los Angeles Angels
